Journal
The Institution's Journal and Report of Proceedings has been published each year since 1884 and is issued free to members four times a year. It is an A4 size high quality colour publication and each issue has 56 pages containing technical articles and papers of permanent way and associated railway interest, plus news of Institution activities and events. Through its Comments and Feedback section the Journal enables members to contribute directly in matters important to the PWI.
The latest issue of the PWI Journal, Volume 128 Part 2, was published in April 2010. In addition to a selection of important technical papers, there are contributions from members together with detailed reports of Institution activities at national and local levels. In particular the results of the initiatives developed during the Strategic Review are explained. The roles and responsibilities are set out for the Institution’s new executive team as too are the proposed new Articles of Association for the Institution.
