Hello and welcome to the New Permanent Way Institution web site!
This site will be your ‘portal’ to the rich resources that the PWI has to offer, at anytime of the day or night, from wherever you find yourself in the world.
The PWI have invested time and talent in creating this site, to enable track engineers across the globe to share knowledge and experiences with and to learn from their peers. This site gives you access to the PWI’s resources, with details of the sections, meetings and events in the UK and overseas, contact and membership details, capability to purchase our renowned text books on-line, a new technical forum and our unique archive of past Journals.
I hope that you will take some time to look around, and enjoy getting to know the site and our Institution.I hope too that you like what you find, and that this encourages you to participate in the PWI’s activities.
This is just the start; we seek feedback and suggestions from visitors, on how we might develop and improve the site, to meet the ever changing needs of our Members, potential members and the railway industry that we support.
So enjoy, and don’t forget to let us know what you think…
Welcome to the fellowship that is the Permanent Way Institution.
Regards
Phil Ransom
